Honda Jazz " An Experience to share"

Overall Experience of buying a Honda car

We recently bought a Honda Jazz car with Auto transmission. And I would like to share my views on my overall experience of " JAZZ and HONDA"

My first car buy was Maruti, followed by Hyundai. I must say that Jazz is an excellent Car which is very easy to manouver with very good  ride quality and comfort  stands out versus the competitor car models in the similar categories. The auto transmission makes it more easy to manouver in the city.
The suspension is very good along with the ground clearance as I can feel no bumps when I drive everyday on the road in front of my home, which is full of 1 feet deep and big  potholes for a length of 200 meters. On the same road my other Hyundai I20 car gives a bumpy ride on the same road.

The engine is very smooth with great acceleration and gives very good power on highways.

I need to specifically mention about the service standards of Honda, pre sales and after sales, which have been very well followed and maintained by Deccan Honda dealership in Pune. I hope the same standards of servic continues with the vehicle and will not disappoint me in future.

I believe Honda would have sold lot many cars in India only if Indian people were not very concerned about mileage or to put it otherwise Honda cars would have provided better fuel efficiency like Maruti cars. Nevertheless I would rate Honda way above the other carmakers in terms of providing a memorable experience which I thought is worth sharing with all you guys who are deciding which car to buy.
I must say I we are proud owners of Jazz and would share my next feedback on Jazz after 6 months.
I look forward to the new Civic and other models which Honda plans to introduce by next year.

Lets be happy and make everybody around us happy

Happiness sometimes is within you however sometimes external conditions makes us feel sad,  nervous and unhappy with ourselves. We try to find happiness by being with people we like, various entertainments, reading, following hobbies and PRAYING.
If we pray to GOD it gives us inner peace and great amount of happiness than any other activity.
The more we pray the lesser we become dependent on external simulators for happiness. Praying gives us an inner strength to be calm and composed with a balanced mind.
Its difficult focus on GOD in today's fast moving and world with too many distractions, however its easier because it has to be done at a time early in the morning with the rising sun.
I do it everyday, which keeps me full of positive energy throughout the day!

Creating a Value Proposition for a product or a service

Value proposition quantifies the benefits of a product or service and correlates these benefits wit the unmet needs of customer across the value chain.
So the benefits could be for your direct customer or his customer or the end user, depending the level of your product in the value chain.
Putting up a proper value proposition justifies selling a product at a particular premium price. I think its also important to incorporate such features in your product which meet or support in meeting all or some of the following:
1. Mandatory Regulations of health and safety
2. Environmental Standards
3. Shows significant Enhancement in Performance of a product
4. Resolves a long persistent problem
5. Reduces overall cost of a product etc.

Bigger challenge lies in demonstrating benefits of your product to your customer. For B toB market this is not easy as the products cannot be advertised. They are sold in one to one meetings with customers.
Every customer has a different end product and different technical demands to have a one common product or solution.

VP  must be developed keeping in mind the end user's requirement. A product must be developed keeping in mind the at least three needs of customer, else the product might end up being a generic product.
Happy value selling!

Differentiating yourself in the market!

How do a Product Manufacturing company in the verge of stagnant market growth differentiate itself?

Creating new markets by new product or service, enhancing  margins by selling improved properties and attributes at a higher price, improving productivity at the customer's process, timely delivery of the product or service.

How to quantify the benefits of such efforts?
The sales of that products in focus needs to be tracked and the associated revenue or margins could be derived.
Its more challenging when a product becomes a commodity even if the market is growing. In such case its important to improvise on the existing product relvant to customer unmet needs quite regularly. Or differentiate yourself by providing addon services along with the product. These services should be aimed at

Take example of cement which is commodity with always growing market.
There is no substitutue for cement. However competition is fierce.
Demand keeps on increasing as housing  is a basic need of an individual.
However product which are not directly linked to the basic needs require a marketing push in the market till the product is  grows and well accepted.

The Raw material suppliers should focus on getting their RM specified in application which are bsic needs of life to grow his market at a sustainable and faster rate.

Innovative Business Model for Growing your customers

Whether you are selling a product or a service, you need to differentiate yourself to fetch a higher value and subsequently better margins for your your products or services. Given Any business value chain, organisations normally initiate projects
with their customers who are  one or two steps above them to push their products or services.
In the present age with opening up of global economies and price competitive markets, one needs to have a different approach to create market growth as well as create value for its products.
For multinational corporations the job becomes easier, as they can easily rope in their commercial successfull business model for  applications.
Gathering information and Executing it  is always the key in making such value propositions with global customers. One needs to have a good solid customer customer rapport and should be ready to engage customers in value added activities, then only the customer would look at a company which is always eager to support, share and buildup new products and services.
Its also important to have a  top management lining up resources dedicated to specific growing market for a particular sub segment. Once the segment is decided it easier to identify key opportunities.
End result is the value propositions on various opportunities in the segment.
Value proposition once sold to a customer mostly results in winning a project.

Big challenge exists for Suppliers at the bottom of the value chain as they need to understand the value being added at each stage of the value chain. By this way they create a new product which caters to various needs of different value chain partners.
For a supplier its important to work as team with joint development programs with their customers and their customers customer.
Winning is habit and needs to developed and nurtured in a methodical way by creating case studies for WINNING WITH CUSTOMERS.

LIVE LIFE KINGSIZE

In my childhood I use to see this advertisement of a Cigarette company " LIVE LIFE KING SIZE". Not a good phrase to get associatet too.
There is a lot in the four words. LIVE- Live to the fullest extent. Your life the way you want it to shape.
KING SIZE: Like a leader who elevates and inspires others to rise to their true potential.

Our old tradition teaches us quite good things for our better life like: Blessing youngers and taking the blessings of older, which is meant for motivation and generating positive energy.

Our rituals of chanting mantras were meant for creating frequencies conducive to positive energy in our lives. Chanting puja mantras meant better focus, better concentration, breath control, sharpening memory skills.
Praying Sun in the morning gives you enough energy for the day to tak eany stress.

Now all this come at a cost. Ironically, when we had all that existed in our society. Unfortunately getting all these  linked to releigion without proper reasoning meant that in scioentific age people will not accept that.
However now we know that, we must thanks our ancestors to have developed such wondefull things for our better tomorrow which are also relevant in todays world.

Be it suryanamaskar, be it foof habits everything was well planned as a recipe of good health.

To be continued..

Top qualities of a Good leader

One wonders what a good leader is all about. There can be numerous answers to this like a good leader is the one who leads from the front and shows everybody the way forward.Or a good leader creates an environment which is conducive to success and growth of a organisation or a nation  or the whole world.
A good leader can be you yourself for your family, your manager, leader of group going for a picnic or leader of a nation. The higher you go the influence and scope of your work increases enourmously.

I believe that a good leader has a vision and a self belief of achieving his goal . He is a true motivator and inspires  millions of people to live by his dreams. He believes in an idea and proclaims it to the world that he is going to achieve the final Lakshya. A good leader is  aware of the repurcussions of his actions to achieve the ultimate goal and always has the strategy to combat the ills which come which come along the way to achieve the success.
A GOOD LEADER is SELFLESS, He thinks of giving it to others and improves their life either by making them living a better & healthy  life, live in harmony, and money comes flowing in as a residue.

Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, Mother Teresa, Dhirubhai Ambani, JRD Tata all had the vision and belief in themselves and that the reason they are still remembered by all. All of them wanted to do something good for the society.Do we understood them correctly. Yes and No. I think the middle class of India understands everything quite well. Very interesting article on NY times:
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/30/world/asia/indias-middle-class-appears-to-shed-political-apathy.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

I think are ourselves responsible for the situation we are in today as a country and nobody to blame.
The answer is simple we never dreamt of " MAKING INDIA A BEST PLACE ON EARTH TO LIVE IN" .
If we all would have dreamt of it even 25 years back, we would been reaping the rewards of it by now.
NEVERTHELESS WE STILL HAVE TIME. LETS DREAM OF RESTORING THE PAST GLORY OF INDIA.

We always say " This will go on for ever" " ekbar accha kamkiya na bahut hogaya abhi nahin hoga".
In a way we are telling our mind about whats happening around will never change and if something changes for the good it would be a rare case study for IIM-A, B or C, which will never happen again.

I want to be part of the success story of this wonderfull country!
